On Sunday 2nd April Hawarden Old Castle will be open to visitors from 2pm-5pm, so come and see the daffodils in full bloom. There is a fee on the gate of £3 for adults, with up to two children free, and then £3 each for any further children and toddlers go free, all of which goes to Clwyd Special Riding School, and all children must be accompanied. Entry is on foot through the red gate opposite The Glynne Arms and there is plenty of free parking on Tinkersdale Road, about 100m from The Glynne Arms. It’s then a 10 minute walk to the castle via some fairly steep paths. So you will have earned a drink at the very least, if not lunch in the pub afterwards. All dogs welcome on leads!

Unfortunately due to the the number of steps and the steep paths the Old Castle is not accessible for people with walking difficulties.
